- Gain 15 pounds - Get my first real job - Learn more languages and review the ones I know so I don't forget it - Buy a really nice piano to replace the one I have now - Be a better person - Stop complaining and feeling depressed about every single unhappy event - Try even harder in school - Start my own design line as well as become an officially hired journalist - Play the lottery for the first time and WIN! If I win I'll share with everyone here who I like. Haha. - Really want to learn to drive, but that seems far away. I have a lot of things to do this year, but that is the stuff I want to do most.

- Shave my legs - Quit drinking and hitting our dog - Pay my taxes - Change the cat's litter box - Stop sleeping with all my friends' boyfriends - eat more fiber
i don't really do any of those at the moment but i believe with faith and perseverance, I can accomplish it.

^ I'm rofl-ing at sweetfart's resolutions... they seem challenging ^^
It also crossed my mind a moment ago that I should start thinking about new year's resolutions, so why not do it here... This year has been a very good year for me, and I hope 2010 will be even better.
- Since I'll be spending the first half of the coming year in the Philippines, I want to become fluent in both Tagalog and our native dialect Ilonggo - I want to spend more time with and know better all of my 'hundreds' of cousins and relatives there - Learn and bring with me the best aspects of the way of life there - Travel around and explore different countries in Asia - Since I'll be spending all of these months with my mom, I want to smoothen our relationship while avoid being dominated and controlled by her - Figure out which will be my next career move for the fall, hopefully I'll start studying again for an even better profession - Keep contact with all friends I've made this year while gaining more friends next year - Learn to play the guitar - Pursue and develop any talents/skills I have - Always learn and grow more as a person, be the best that I can be

- Dry January ... after a very heavy 2009 enjoying not living on a uni student's budget anymore it's time to shock my system into a life less filled with gluttony, indulgence and debauchery and get off the booze for longer than a week for the first time since I was 18.
- Related to the above, going to fire the kitchen back up. I think I ate every meal bar about 10 from take-aways/restaurants this year. That's 3meals x365days= 1095 - 10meals = 1085 meals I ate outside. Subtract 85 for days I ate only 2 meals. 1000. It isn't like I don't enjoy cooking. I almost left uni in second year when I was offered a place at a chef school in Switzerland. I just don't allow myself the time.
- Pick up French where I left it in high school and turn it into a language I can actually speak
That's good enough and achievable. You should hear the laughs of disdain I've received for talking about Dry January. One person I know, who has hardly ever spoken a word to me that wasn't sweet actually showed annoyance said 'Don't make promises you can't keep because when you break it it'll erode my respect for the value of your word!'. Might make it dry February too. But I want to see if I survive January first.
Oh and I never want to spend a weekend in the office again no matter how much responsibility I have for a project outcome. This is not official though!

^ hahaha sweetfart I am too embarrassed to admit that I don't shave my legs enough in the winter. But yet I am coming clean right now. I'm sure many ladies can relate because no one really sees your legs in the winter anyways besides yourself or your boy toy. And if the boy toy doesn't mind, who cares about the other humans?

I put my pants on just like the rest of you -- one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make gold posts.

Pal's list: -Find the perfect mouthpiece (and sound) for my saxophone -Get serious about playing more types of music on classical guitar -Give my left hand it's own brain for playing keyboard -Finish that stop motion movie -Add 4 inches to my chest. -Get involved with an activist organization that actually does something -Stay away from dirt-bag hippies -Read more and rewrite some old folktales for the modern era -Don't trust politicians ever again--even the charismatic multiracial ones. -Eat even less meat -Commute using an electric vehicle -Beat the women's tennis team (slightly kidding) -Get over the miserable failure of the last decade
