Well from what ive heard, some dudes rolled up in a car next to him and asked him if he had any weed. He said he didnt. Then they started shooting and 2 hit him. Theres no reason as to why they shot him. Just some dumbasses trying to raise their street cred. It seems that lately here in the bay area theres been a surge in violence, many people getting shot for nothin...

Thank you everyone for your prayers. BayBoy415, I'm sorry about what happened to you brother. It was entirely uncalled for and completely wrong. Those people who did it to him will be punished. I'm sure they won't get away without a scratch. I'll pray for your brother's health. Freecia, there's no point in trying to understand why thieves would do such things. They're mere opportunists who don't see the sentimental values of objects, but rather, their monetary value in which they can benefit from. Once they lose someone dear to them, or when they're seeing their own life flash before them, they will repent for the bad things they've done. But by then, it will be too late. They have what's coming to them. Best wishes and I hope everyone in your family is alright..

I really like this tread aiko...we all need the support of friends. Sometimes even friends seem faint and distant. I've been feeling ups and downs lately, but when you have the one person whoever that may be to just be there, it makes it bearable. I hope that you all have at least one person to lean on.
I don't know how to ask for prayer or words of comfort, but I guess its been more down than up lately for me. You sorta feel like being down is sucky while it lasts, but for me I wake up the next morning and life goes on. **sigh* itd be nice to wake up to a friendly face rather than alone.

Jeff Is it a significant other that you're hoping for? Do you have any roommates? I find that while I don't really have the time or patience for a boyfriend right now, it's nice to have a friendly roommate next door and when you wake up in the morning, you can have breakfast together or something before you're both off to work. It's a lonely time, as singles still trying to figure out what we need to do in life i.e. going to school and trying to make it as a newbie at a new work place, but it's nice to have someone there whom you can talk to.

^ Good points. Having a support system can definitely take the edge off. Inactivity, isolation and boredom will intensify any loneliness.

yes...hoping for someone, but seems like distance and business keep us apart. Roomates yes and i've been doing as much as i can with them. Watching movies, playing board games and such on nights when there's nothing else to do. IT is nice and it makes it more bearable. My roommate and I actually started doing language exchange and she is a good teacher.

You'll fine someone when you least expect it, I think. At least it happens to me everytime lol. Everytime I let my guard down, I end up meeting someone, whether I like it or not.

I feel a bit hypocritical to ask for your thoughts and prayers since I'm not religious, but my best friend's father has been battling cancer for a few years and is nearing the end of that battle. I would appreciate it if you could send positive vibes to her and her family and have them in your thoughs and prayers. They are like my second family. Thanks.

I'm hesitant to write this here but any prayers would be welcome. A friend's 18 year old sister committed suicide on Friday. She used to play with my younger brother and she lived two doors away from us. I saw her grow up and my family used to joke that she was 'little jeanette'. Then she grew up so fast and wasn't so little anymore. If you can, please keep her in your thoughts. Thank you.

I will keep her and her family in my thoughts. I'm so sorry for your loss, Celtriya. She was so young, it just doesn't seem right.
