As an "outsider" I have to say that I think generally Asian women with a strong epicanthic fold look better without makeup. I guess mascara looks good and minimal eyeliner but for the most part I think "natural beauty" is something that Asian women seem to pull off better than most people and should maximize it as a strength. I think its part of the reason why so many men are attracted visually to Asian women - they often look more "real" and genuine than so many other women who seem covered in foundation, rouge, eyeshadow and concealer. My half-Thai ex (who looked full Thai) always looked better without makeup and it seemed like when she put it on it actually detracted from her beauty. Edit: Like the girl in Kyu-Ree's sig - I can't imagine how she'd be prettier with eyeshadow but that's just me. ROFL. You TOTALLY lost me. R-E-S-P-E-C-T

you don't need the tools, you can do the same thing with a q-tip,a light hand, and good attention to blending. i love to play with eye shadow too (leopard eyes!.)i do it all the time to entertain myself,i just rarely wear it out. I wear it out of the house.. when I'm not told to do otherwise. Heh, it IS halloween coming up.

Yes, halloween is alive and well here. I don't think it's really "american" but canadians do treat similarly to americans. I've always considered it All Soul's Day - seeing the way it is "celebrated" here was a mix of something out of a comic book, insult and an altogether giant freak of weirdness at first. But it's grown on me.
I don't know about the 51st state thang. But you're always welcome to the canadian poutine, our wolverines, beer and wo-.. water! ;D
