^ Thanks xandra. I can't believe how long it's been... I joined in 2003? o_0 *faints* I was still at uni then. I've since moved from the Philippines to Singapore, and am now teaching communications and event planning at a school here.

I think quite a few posters joined in 2003 (myself included) and damn, I can't believe we're still coming back after 5 years!! How do you like teaching? How old are your students?

2003 was a good year for EAN I think I love teaching, though I've only really been doing it for 2 years. Prior to that I was working in PR and Event management. At my current workplace, my students range from age 16-20. I used to teach adult learners too, though, when I was back home in the Philippines. I have to say, sometimes it's really tough keeping the young 'uns motivated. I'm not that much older than them, but already I feel there's a bit of a generation gap :S

Yeah, I bet that would be difficult! I'm sure they're surprised to see you for the first time, you don't look much older than most of them I've just started doing some PR.... got any pointers? I'm just learning as I go along!

^Learning as you go along is the way to do it, really Most of my experience is in PR writing and events... and I don't know what it's like elsewhere but in the 'Pines it basically entails a lot of schmoozing and keeping editors happy, etc. It's a lot of fun, but it can get pretty intense too. I went into teaching to try something different... I may go back to industry sometime, but for now I'm enjoying the break.

Well, this looks as good a place as any to get stuck back into EAN...
Forgive me, EAN, for I have sinned. It has been over 2 years since my last post. In that time I have...let's see...started working in retail, moved to Edinburgh, stopped playing hockey and become massively unfit, aaaand, that's about it. Wow, that's depressing.

You are forgiven my child...... Regret not your depraved state as those of us who linger listlessly on EAN plumb lower depths. **troll warcry**
