Some members in this on-line community like Rob are often apparently very concerned about absentee posters. If you happen to be absent from the Forum for any extended period of time please feel free to occasionally drop a message of “hi” to let everyone know you are alive or a brief update on what is going on with your lives for the benefit of those who want to know.
Always remember that certain members here miss you very much so please think about them too and drop by occasionally, if even only for one brief post.
Also, any queries by members here on the whereabouts of other former active members can also be directed to this thread.
Cheers.
@ Mods: seriously, it would be a good idea to pin this thread so returnees and lurkers can see it

I haven't posted much recently.
Just had too much irl stuff and other internet stuff that I do now.
Occassionally drop a line or two, but yeah.
P.s. 3000 posts ahoy!

Um, I've been absent for about a year...and before that for a year too. I miss this place. Update on my life: I'm a few years older. Other than that I'm still the same.

I haven't been on for some time. Last time I posted was prolly in June once or twice. I've been extremely busy. Currently just applied to Law School and waiting for news. Completing my last year of post-secondary.. it'll be 5 yrs in total.. phew. I've been really depressed though cuz my dad passed away suddenly on July 11th from a brain aneurysm and I, along with my mom and sister were there to witness it. He was only 49 yrs old. It's been hard.
Aside from that. Just thought I'd drop by cuz I took new pics of my hubby's niece, Brianna and thought I'd post them in the baby pics section.
Don't know how much posting I'll be doing cuz of all that's going on and everything I have to do now. Too much to remember and too much stress from life.

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your dad. That must be so hard. Where in Canada are you? I'm in Calgary.

Hey Jolie - Huzzah for finishing up the law school apps! At least that's one less thing to worry about. You can just sit back and wait for news now. I'm also sorry to hear about your dad - 49 is way too young. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult that must be for you guys. Take some time out to destress every once in a while - you obviously need it. I'm not precisely sure if EAN is the proper route for that though How's the baby doing?

Miyuki, I'm in Toronto.
Sincere thanks to Miyuki, Helen, and Nikki for your kind words. I can't wait to finish University and move on, in that part of my life anyways. Maile is good. She's no longer a baby though, lol. She's walking and talking and has been spending a lot of time with her paternal grandmother since she's retired and absolutely adores her granddaughter's company - which is good considering all that's on my mind and the things I need to take care of.
Hope to be posting some more. Although I don't mind talking about what happened to my dad, I've been letting my feelings out by writing daily in a journal I keep for him. So I don't mind questions, but hopefully posting on EAN will help me somewhat.
Cheers!

The T-dot. That's cool. I was just there a few months back. The city's starting to grow on me every time I visit. Are you born and raised there?

hey Jolie, as a fellow 5th year student i have to say that there's no shame in the victory lap! and well done on your law school applications. you're a shoe-in!
i'm really sorry to hear about your dad. it must be so hard for your family to deal with his loss. especially since he was so young and it was so sudden. if you haven't already it might not be a bad idea to check out the counselling services that your school offers. there may also be a bereavement support group on campus that might be helpful for you. just make sure you take care of yourself.
