Mine are green but go closish to blue if I'm near the ocean or extremely green in the forest for example. They are fairly reflective. They were blue when I was a baby and changed gradually as I was a kid. My dad has blue eyes and mum dark brown. One brother has hazel eyes and the other dark brown. I've had it explained to me that genetically, my mum must have carried the genes for light eyes to make that possible. An unknown ancestor perhaps

^ Same as me. I noticed today my tan seems to have brought the green out in them. Now I look less Aryan.

An unknown ancestor perhaps I've read you don't need ancestors on both parents sides in order to get green or hazel eyes. You do need both sides to get blue eyes EXCEPT some Scottish blue eyes are more dominant than brown. You need one grene gene to be able to have green eyes, and should have as little pigmentation generally in the eyes for it to show. I assume I got a grene gene from my dad, but my ares are kind of borderline to too dark for them to show properly. Alot of people Ive seen with brown eyes have a tendency to brownish with a little green shade in it.

I dont know what I should call mye eyecolour though... Generally I would say they are brown. But when there is much light shining on the eyes, they go what you call hazel (brown with a tint of som greenish). We dont use the word hazel to describe eyecolour in Norway, and most people with green brown eyes just call their eyes just brown... A scary photo of my eyes:

^ One of my old schoolmates is Scottish or Irish and she has blue eyes with a ring of brownish-yellow on the edge of the pupils. She calls them "sunflowers".
BTW before I came to EAN I heard that EAs couldn't inherit light-coloured eyes because the darker eye colour gene in the Asian parent would be too strong. I guess that was pretty ignorant.

I've got light brown (I used to have dark brown, almost black ones but they got lighter) eyes as most of the peepz here have, though I always wanted light green eyes xD Both of my parents have brown eyes (Dad : Dark brown, Mom : Light Brown) but my mother's mom (I think he's called grandpa) has got green eyes with a slight brown patch

I too have light brown eyes. Parents = Dark brown + Blue Struggled to find a pic large enough to show the colour. I couldn't be bothered enlarging another pic, then possibly having to deal with the unclear pixel business - hence the chosen angle. *leaves thread awaiting eyelash jokes*

Just curious to know but do eye lashes tell something about the ethnicity of a certain person ?
