i saw sigur ros last night at hamer hall-it was...i guess it was pretty mindblowing stuff seeing them actually recreate those sounds ON stage...it was a very classy act. Jonsi Thor Birgisson looks like a mad man at times (I am pretty certain he has an exotropia) and was playing his electric guitar with a violin bow the whole entire time. the backdrops and videos and lighting were excellent.
the best parts were from (). and the song Agaetis Byrjun; the new stuff sounds a bit too "chirpy" for me..

i wouldnt mind seeing sigor ros, some of thier stuff is quite nice. ill probably see mum in the barbican in september, if you like sigor ros you'll love mum. www.fabchannel.com/ - i found a live video of do make say think near the bottom, there music is quite amazing. they are a band that uses two drumsets, keyboards, basses, guitars, saxophones, trumpets, somehow manages to take Frost’s metaphorical “road less travelled by” by shedding individual sounds in favour of the greater good. Their songs pool together the individual sounds of each instrument, forging them into one, rather than focusing on cool guitar riffs, awesome drum beats, or a kickin’ sax solo. No matter how hard you look or focus on any one performer during their live performance, it’s virtually impossible to pick up that person’s instrument in the mix. Which, when done intentionally, is incredible.

It's been a while since I went to a concert. I used to go as a child to a lot due to my dad bringing me along. It was all heavy metal though...like The Scorpions, AC/DC, Metallica, Guns 'n Roses, Alice Cooper (opener), Filter (opener), Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne.
I think Ozzy was the most recent and that was almost 6 years ago.
I'd love to go see John Mayer, the Goo Goo Dolls, or Foo Fighters, though.
I think Greenday is playing here with Jimmy Eatworld opening too in August. That would be a good one...very moshy though I expect.

I went to Day 2 of the Marc Ecko "Gettting Up" Concert in Toronto.
Almost 10 hours later, I saw:
- Jully Black (Finally after 3 attpmts already - She's amazing) (Candain Rn' B songstress) - Jellee Stone (A Canadian hip hop artist) - Kardinal Offishall (Canadina Hip hop artist signed to Virgin - he'll be big) - Rascalz - From Van City - Hip Hop group & guests - Brooke Valentine - Girl Fight fame - Lil John & the East Side Boys - Kanye West (The best! - Jesus Walks!) - Ludacris
It was truly the longest concert I ever went to and the most livliest! I had to watch out for them bows, the crunk and the crunk juice! It was surely the craziest!
But seeing Kanye again for the second time was well worth it! Jesus Walks is truly an amazing song!

Spent the weekend at Noisefest (see: http://www.forceofnature.cc). Three days of drinking, karaoke, pizza, and totally bangin' power electronics.
