The last concert I went to was actually Bobby Valentino. It was a rescheduled concert and he only was on stage for 15 mins. I'm going to see the Black Eyed Peas when they come to Toronto in July. But before that that the last concert I went to was John Legend. He was awesome. He's a great singer and lyricist!

Best concerts I've seen in this city would be: Beck & The Flaming Lips, holy moly can Beck dance. James was another great concert, very ambient. The Wedding Present I saw a month or so ago, and it's just amazing they've been around for almost 20 years now.
Groups I'd love to see? Embrace is at the top, Delirium is very close to it, The Decemberists, Fiona Apple, Belle & Sebastian (again), Beautiful South (again), .. wow there are way too many to mention. I could spend my whole life just going to concerts.

How is Coldplay? Swindled into going to this concert. Only heard one of their songs...liked it but are they just UK pop?

Live 8:
Pink Floyd: Awesome. David Gilmour squeezed every single inch of living soul out of that guitar, Rodger Waters was just loving it, he couldn't hide his joy if he tried.
Not too sure about The Cure though, Robert Smith really looked like he could've done with a longer vocation...
Personally I don't really like Elton John - The Arc-bishop of Bendersbough, but boy, he always deliver.
R.E.M. - Boy has Michael Stipe lost it with his Alien impersonation...
Geldof - Why does he constantly look like he's got a 6 foot canoe up his back-side?

I just saw the Black Eyed Peas for the second time in two years. They are awesome both vocally, lyrically and in terms of dancing ability. It's great that they encompass so many cultures including filipino which Apl is and he can really rap in tagalog. Fergie can really belt it out!
Talib Kwali opened for them - but his beats and background singer were just too loud for him to be heard - But again he too is a great lyricist and he didn't forget his rhymes like in other concerts.
Jully Black opened up before Talib - this is the second time I've missed her. But she's a great Canadian female Rnb singer who was fetered I think on the Fighting Tempation soundtrack.

The last "concert" I actually went to was Noisefest last summer... nothing like some good ol' electronic music making your ears bleed for an entire weekend... ;D

So true about Waters, you know as happy as I was to see them together, it was also somehow sad how they let all those years go by - "And then one day you find ten years have got behind you" indeed "no-one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun..." Pink Floyd was the reason why I started playing the guitar. This might sound like child-talk, but I'd give an arm and a leg to see them live again. Live Aid, yes I do remember. & I remember his famous last words: "Don't go to the pub tonight - please stay in and give us your money"... That concert made something like 30 million pounds.

Just saw Chaos, John Legend & Socrates. All except John Legend are Canadian hiphop artists.
John Legend is awesome - he's so lyrically and musically gifted as an artist.
It was funny because I went to elementary school & highschool with Chao's dj - Lil Jaz

Paul Banks of Interpol and Carlos Dengler in background-seen last night! They were good-not mindblowing or much different from their albums (unlike radiohead) but they played a tight, flawless set. EDIT (Pat) - just resizing the pic
