Ok I'm asking myself a questions.. hilarious. I can't get any sig pics to load up today for some reason... i've got the [ img ] ... [ /img ] for three pics under this and they are all coming up blank. Everyone just ignore this thread, unless you can see my sig pic and I can't, in which case reply and tell me. www.vindia.com/ips35/images/vindia/vshows/paula1.jpg[/img] ok I can get this pic of paula ali to load but not my sig, from two different picture hosting sites... arrgh Sorry don't mind me. Go on with your regular posting while i get to the bottom of this.

OK all www.villagephotos.com seems to work for linking sig pics. www.hpphotos.com and www.madproject.com DO NOT work for adding sig pics. Why they don't work I have yet to find out, right now I just know they don't. If anyone else knows some FREE picture hosting websites to host sig pics, please post them here!

btw Jan u mentioned something about having problems w/ sig pics before-
just make sure when ur typing in the code ur putting the url of the picture you're trying to link in between [*img*] and [*/img*] (take away the asterixes).
The url can be obtained by right clicking on the picture u want to link and going to "properties".. just copy that and paste it in between the two "img's".
As you can see though from my original post, some image hosters don't seem to be friendly with proboards... so it's entirely possible ur doing everything right.

The mypic gallery xandra suggested above appears to work for the avatars.
I dont know how to use code to display a pic in my message though.

i have a question regarding sig pics.. how can i shrink them to a reasonable size, so they don't take up half the page? resize them in any photo editing program on your computer (every computer comes with paint, but photo manager and microsoft photo viewer/editer does this as well).. then rehost them on an image hosting site. or, send me the image and i'll be happy to host.

i have a question regarding sig pics.. how can i shrink them to a reasonable size, so they don't take up half the page? you should use www.photobucket.com. juniper recommended it before. it works great and you can resize any of your pictures with the simple touch of your mouse.
