use GIMP => free program downloadable from the internet, only a lil complicated, but it has endless possiblities. it succeedes in keeping file size down , while keeping quality extremely high, you can even read how large the file will be and how much the quality will be copromised, and adjust accordingly.
I "gimped" the Kristen Kreuk takes a dump for EU pic.

I approve of what HB is saying EAN, if I was mod, I would attend your smaller matters to make your EAN experience a happier one.
Vote for me by pming the mods, serzly EAN, it's about time this place had some authoratah instead of the rampant mess that is currently happening.
