I just received a letter from my school confirming that I've been accepted into the IPP(Interpreter Preparation Program) Even though my grades and all have been good and I was mostly sure that I'd be accepted, I'd heard the program only accepts a limited amount of students each year, so that teensy-weensy idea of not being accepted had been hanging over my head for the past few months or so. Now I can actually go about registering for those [reserved] courses and getting my schedules together.

My friend's a multimedia designer and he's working on Australia's largest commercial contract. He's embedded a message in it to celebrate me buying a house.

Not exactly smile, but I snort laughed: OMG, that video is hilarious! I was going to say it was pretty funny when I couldn't find any butter in the fridge, but that story pales in comparison.

I'm reviving this thread because I was forced to smile today. Students' letters can always be counted on: That's amazing Nikki. You'll treasure those for the rest of your life, not to mention shed a tear reading through those on the flight back I think you should put all those letters (and all your mementos of Japan) in a scrapbook when you get home. It'll be an instant pick me up on a rainy day.

The NBA vs. CBA game...never ever saw the two forces collide although the results were predictable.

Oooh yaaaaaaah. My friend called me and I finally got a hold of him. Phone tag is fun, but kind of distressing sometimes.
