So a friend of mine passed this along to me, she is a actress and was told by the producer that they will even fly out to some places for a interview.
Calling Bi-Racial (Half Asian) People to Share their
Stories
I am the producer for a Third Year NYU Graduate
Documentary and Narrative short film focusing on the
real experiences of people who have grown up with
mixed heritage. The Director wants to be truthful and
honest with the story and characters and is looking
for real people to share their experiences.
We're looking for individuals who are bi-racial
(especially half Korean / African American) and would
like to share stories of how their mixed heritage has
affected their lives in good ways and bad.
If you have friends or know actors who are bi-racial
who would like to participate, we will film their
stories and incorporate it into a larger piece. It
won't matter if you're an actor or not, the
Documentary segment is incredibly important and
without it, there can be no narrative element to the
project.
For actors this is special opportunity - this is a
project which will be using a unique process to
develop real characters.
We especially invite actors to take this opportunity
to use their real life experiences to develop a
character for the narrative film. This process will
begin first in a documentary setting, where you will
be able to share your experiences growing up with a
bi-racial background. This is an open forum which you
will be able to approach honestly and naturally. The
final step will be to take your experience and work
with the Director to create a character for the
narrative film.
If you know anyone who would be interested in
participating in this project please contact Matte Chi
