My gut instinct of course says No, but when I put certain factors in, such as
1. Does the mother's and my own family approve of a homosexual in the family? 2. Is the area I live accept homosexuality? 3. Will my homosexual child be constantly picked on at school and would be frequently the victim in "gay bashings", which would lead to psychological damage? 4. Will my child be disadvantaged in anyway just for being gay?
If those factors lean towards the negative side, then I would start to consider abortion for the benefit of the child in not having a hard and unfair life, not because I am homophobic.

Scott - good points.
But sometimes there comes a time when it's time to raise your own immediate family and your mom, pops, and the rest of your family are no longer the center of your world, and your children are. And also, who gives a f*** what the rest of society thinks or how often they s*** on your gay child - you can either move or work things out.
One of the things that makes life so thrilling is the obstacles.
I've had my grandparents come down on me and my parents told them to shut the F up :-P If you see where I'm coming from

^ What he said. Do you really want society to dictate your life? I feel that it would just be giving in to them.

It seems to me that perhaps you could take Scott's questions above, substitute Eurasian for homosexual, and by his reasoning imagine that there would be instances where parents might consider aborting a child simply because it would be EA. I certainly don't imagine that anyone on this forum would agree with that idea, nor do I think he would, but I hope someone sees what I'm getting at. To me the notion of aborting a homosexual baby is abhorrent.

Ahh, having a gay child would be fun. You could muck around with so many peoples heads lol.
I'd only abort a child if it refused to call me master. Kidding...

Society dictates our lives every day. It does, but to varying degrees, depending on people's will.

^ Well, it began with anarchy-- but it's no longer, so I guess it didn't work out.

^ That's what we'd like to think but the state owns us from the day we are born. If they don't like how your parents are raising you they can take you away. They force you to go to school. You have to pay taxes. Drive too fast they fine you, drop litter, they fine you. Get into a fight and they intervene and fine or jail you. If a bad war breaks out they could conscript people tomorrow and there's not a thing you could do about it. We have only as much freedom as they allow us. However that's not necessarily a bad thing. The alternative is anarchy. You've been hanging out with Jean too much

Absolutely not. Of course I would worry for the way that my child would be treated, but just like being mixed I think it's becoming more and more acceptable, at least where I live.
