God I hate Christmas, I loathe it with the force of a thousand suns. As I write this I see yet another ad with a nauseating Christmas jingle.
Ive never, ever had a nice, relaxed Christmas, Mum always got incredibly stressed preparing the obligatory Christmas lunch, then would have a go at my Dad, who then would be in a foul mood for the entire lunch and sulk, then Id get the s***s at having to make nice nice conversation with the obligatory blowin who had nowhere else to go that my Mum took pity on, and Id end it all by getting incredibly drunk to kill the pain of being forced through this farcical process. Need I add no one ever bought presents for each other.
The one positive point is the food was usually incredibly good.
I loathe Christmas, and this thread is for you to share just how much you loathe and detest it as well.

Hahaha, you kill me Nath!
I'm not that enthused by it myself, although I do appreciate the break. One thing I'm not that keen on is having to get off the couch and go and visit the relos. I'd rather just stay home and get smashed and watch the cheesy Christmas specials and Peanuts cartoons. It's good if you have young family members, like nephews and nieces, that way you can share the joy of them receiving a whole bunch of impressive looking crap that they're gonna forget about in three weeks time.
So anyway, merry kiss my arse, everybody!

Christmas is for children to enjoy and adults to endure.

I hate doing dishes during Christmas. It's just so incredibly overwhelming loading the dishwasher six times over a 2 hour period, and then no on really wants to help out putting them away.

I mean London has its down points, but the best thing I ever did was move to here. I was meant for a city like this not a country where nothing ever happens like Aus.

It never really bothered me until I started working retail. Christmas is nice, but it should start around mid-December... not August.

Oh man, I lay the claim that most likely I am the single person here who is uncle to the most kids.
3 half brother's showering the world with ba$*ard babies, I dont like being in the "toys R us" place it made me feel so un-manly. coming to the counter with all these... toys, and a rapidly deminishing stock of christmas spending money, I want to spend it all on me not them, gah. then the cousins coming over for new years, I will going into negatives if they want to continually want to eat out.

Have your cousins cook for you and do all your housework, shopping and gift wrapping. You gotta put them to good use you know.
