yeh i've got the double CD tanto tempo by bebel gilberto including the remix cd. i've got lots of the artists listed above mainly on compilation CDs including -The very best of brazil -Chill Brazil vol.2&3 -Brazilian Beats vol. 1, 3, 5 -Putumayo Acoustic Brazil and Samba Bossa Nova and many other bossa nova and samba collections. some of the songs off the City of God soundtrack are pretty good as well. any particular albums you recommend?some d'n'b/dance stuff is quite good as well but i don't like it when it gets too electronic. This site has reviews/ soundclips: www2.uol.com.br/allbrazilianmusic/Recomendations (Mix of older/ newer stuff) Despite the obvious (bebel..etc) Caetano Veloso - S/T Tom Jobim - Matita Pere Edu Lobo - Missa Breva Nara leao - Nara Milton Nascimento - Clube dae Esquina New SoulJazz Comp 'Tropicalia: A Brazilian Revolution in Sound' Carlinhos Brown:alfagamabetizado Seu Jorge: Cru Gilberto Gil: S/T Something by Tom Ze Electro type stuff: Suba Amon Tobin (british/ brazillian born) This site has some (free) downloads of lesser known 60's Bossa Nova: www.sabadabada.com/ Plate: Thanks a lot!!! i'll be sure to check it out!!!

I listen to classical Chinese sometimes...and recently I've been listening to Dir En Grey, a really good Japanese rock/metal band... I love Die...(the one with the red hair)...he's one of the guitarists... Ohh me and Sae like Dir en Grey too. Yeah... What song do you like the most? Cool I've just recently started listening to them...they don't sell any Dir En Grey CD's near where I live , so I've just downloaded some from the internet. But I've heard Umbrella and Mushi/Moshi (don't know how you spell it) and Obscure and some others, but it sounds very good! Any Dir En Grey songs you would recommend me to download?

LoSo is the biggest band in Thailand. However rather than thinking of LoSo purely as a Thai band, think of them as a band with a lead singer who just happens to be Thai. Sek:

^ Oops, sorry. I'm a fan of his music in Thailand. Sek started off with Thai music but has English albums coming out. He moved to England to write in English, recruited his own Experience, got Tim (Beastie Boys) Carr to A&R his album; Owen (Oasis)Morris to produce it and now Oasis' Bonehead has joined the band. Peter Gabriel and Michael Eaves are both fans. I wish I had more info but I'm just starting to read up on it.
