No, PA is not predominantly white/Amish. Most Amish and Quakers in PA are in Lancaster. PA was first settled by William Penn, who was an English Quaker. That's why it's called Pennsylvania, which means "Penn's Woods." Germans arrived later and the PA settlers got a little confused, because they thought that "deutsch" means "dutch," which is where the term, "Pennsylvania Dutch" comes from. So PA Dutch are really PA Germans. The Amish are "Anabaptists," which is a religion that separated from the Mennonites. The Amish are German-Swiss and still cling to the "old/simple ways of life."
Certain areas of PA you will find more German desendents, especially around the coal regions like Pottsvillle and Lehighton. There are more Polish descendents around Wilkes-Barre.

I do not have a problem with being not 100% caucasian or Mongoloid but the only people I have met who have a problem with it are people who are not of mixed race.

Hell no, then I will be another face in the crowd:P A lot of my Asian friends say that I should feel lucky to be mixed--that mixed people are smarter, more beautiful, and get noticed. I guess I do secretly enjoy the attention that being Eurasian brings. I'll admit there was a time in middle school when I thought life would be easier if I wasn't mixed. There were several factors involved in feeling that way..... ranging from not being able to speak Vietnamese, to how other people (including relatives) reacted to me being mixed. I'm far over that phase now and just avoid those people or tell 'em to deal with it. Yes! I had the exact same feelings, Sam! Except, most of my cousins don't know Cantonese, so I never really felt that made me stand out in my extended family. lol, us kids just sat at a seperate small table at the big dinners, while the grown-ups shouted noisily in Cantonese.

Sometimes ... Sometimes I feel invisible when I go to the UK because I'm part asian. Maybe if I wasn't mixed, I wouldn't get annoyed by that question that should be so easy to answer:
"Where are you from?"
