there's this pork blood gelatin, called "quyet" in vietnamese(i've only seen these so far in vietnamese noodle type soups like pho or bun bo hue). and then there's balut. most people can't stomach the idea of eating these things(i heard they even had balut as a "stunt" on fear factor), but for some reason, i just love 'em..

I think Balut is really good, but some people won't even look at it. Balut is Filipino food. It's just a dead chick that's still inside it's egg. EDIT: (Yes, it looks like an aborted fetus!)

Balut isn't only Filipino food, it's a delicacy/dish in Vietnamese cultures too. My family which eats the majority of the time Chinese-Vietnamese food, ate "balut" before I even knew Filipinos ate them. But of course we call it something else. It's delicious, I love it too!

Filipino ketchup - is that the banana ketchup, Jufran I think is one brand? You know, I think I had a bad experience eating it once when I was a kid and haven't touched the stuff since then. hehe (I'm off the "sauce")

My flatmate microwaves his breakfast cereal with milk until it becomes hot-sludge... I think that's pretty gross.
