Hmmm...I joined a similar thing recently when a started my MA. Haven't found an EA group, but there's a general mixed group. Not the same as EAN though!

Bollox...well I just did a search and there's LOADS of eurasian groups on Facebook! I spotted at least one EAN member on there too

An hour ago at a resturaunt, finishing a meal with a friend when 3 EA kids between 3-9 make a very loud entrance with their parents in tow. My table was located near the door, when they took a look at me they became slient. I kind of doubt it was to do with identifying me as a EA but rather the frown pasted across my mug from all the noise they made. I think my tolerance for loud noisy kids is getting to be on par with my father these days *Sighs*

I still train for badminton, every week I practice with 2 friends for the regional under 18 tournaments and league. Funny how most participants in tournaments and leagues are all registered under their school's team. But since there isn't a team at my school for me and my friends we sign up as teamless players... We're like the only ones.... So when opponents see they're matched up against someone who's not even on a team they sooo underestimate me and my friends. Last tournament my best friend ranked 1st, I ranked 4th and my other friend 5th for singles. And me and the one who ranked 5th we Won the doubles part of the tournament. People we're like: WTF how can teamless guys be topping us all??
Putting badminton aside, I have a pretty cute story about an EA encounter. So this year there's this project called JE in which you start your own company. People who were interested meet every week on Tuesday at this school in Montreal. So I went, started a team with my friends and so on... We design pillows hehe.
So anyways, at this JE project you every team is in a different classroom starting at 7 pm to work on your projects. at 8:15 there's a 30 minute break. So on the first day I went during the break, I saw this girl, and I said to myself, she's EA... Interesting, but as I looked at her more and more, I realised... She's so pretty... too pretty... So then I ended up talking to my friend about this girl saying how cute she was and so on... So then he looks at her and says, HEY! She goes to Villa maria (this all girls school)! I have some friends that go there, maybe I'll ask them to introduce you to her... So the week after that I went back, and I see the girl before starting to work on our pillows (haha) and I realise... She's it... I love this girl... she's just too beautifull... Now I never was the kind of guy to fall for love at first sight... But this was different, just looking at her I felt we clicked. So anyways, after during the break, my friend comes to see me and tells me who she is (cause he found out thanks to his friends) and asks me if I want to be introduced to her. Reluctant, since I'm very shy, I'm not sure... But after all I accept cause I though something could blossom out of this. So we were introduced... her name is Emily... and I ask her, could you be half asian? Yes, she is, she said her dad was Chinese. And I tell her my mom is Vietnamese. Hehe that was our first conversation. Now that was 3 weeks ago... I've gotten to know her better and we went out in a group. I really like her, it's my first time. I haven't told her my feelings yet, but hopefully someday we could be lovers. Even if this doesn't happen... I'll always remember the way we met.

Groink: He was a guy sitting at a nearby table at a coffee shop I was at, I noticed he looked Eurasian when I sat down. He was about 40-ish and wouldn't stop staring at me. He also had some cream on his mustache from his coffee. He tried to talk to me a little. "Hey, it's a nice day, isn't it?" I said, "Uh, sure" even though it was f***ing freezing outside. Then he said, "Yeah. So, what's your name?" I didn't answer and tried to pretend I didn't hear him. He said, "Are you half Chinese?" I said nothing. "It's okay, you can tell me. I'm a mutt, too." I changed tables.

^ lol I believe I would've bursted out laughing @ the cream on his mustache. That is one reason why I absolutely can't stand guys growing facial hair. You never know what kind of stuff could get stuck on there. -_- It's disgusting to look at. But yeah, I love how guys usually don't check themselves out before they attempt to pick up girls. They think we're all blind or something?

Today I was on the free shuttle from the subway to my little hamlet and sitting not too far from me was an EA lady getting off work and heading back to the apartments near where I live. We both got off at the same stop. She had some serious "force field" around her -- don't look at me, don't talk to me, etc. I totally understand as the neighborhood is in transistion but still a bit sketchy. I felt mildly sorry for her (and anyone else) because she had to be so insulated. Still, if I were a woman in the same situation, I'd be just as disconnected.

I haven't seen any lately or maybe I just don't notice much I tend to have tunnel vision. I wish the classes I taught were more diverse so far each class has about 50-80 students and they are all white maybe 2-3 students are asian, not that I have anything against white people but it makes me feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.
