I dont know if this has been mentioned here before but as I type there is an intersting programme on Detroit PBS about the current mixed race generation. yea i've been knowing about that foundation for quite some time now. but like a number of other mixed heritage associations that i've been interested in, there isn't any sort of activities/events locally . not that i know of anyway

yea i've been knowing about that foundation for quite some time now. but like a number of other mixed heritage associations that i've been interested in, there isn't any sort of activities/events locally . not that i know of anyway Tee Hee, just curious, if you had the time would you consider the idea of starting a group in conjunction with the above (or other organizations)? yes i would, also given that there's a decent number of people willing to join and work with me in it. it's a coincidence you bring this up, because i'm president of the ASL(American Sign Language) Club at my college/uni. the club in of itself isn't that new, but the officers from the previous year/semester have all left and moved on with their own business, so there were no club officers when i first came into the picture. but i guess the club advisor(who is deaf) felt that i'd be the person for the position, so he entrusted me to get in contact with everyone who signed up on the list and coordinate an initial meeting, which we had a short while back. one of the other members/officers has been very helpful to me and we've been in the process of organizing upcoming events/activities. as a matter of fact, tomorrow is the Arizona Deaf Festival www.azdeaffestival.org/ . well, we didn't organize that, but we'll still be there representin' and spreading the word.
