I can't find my other sushi pic! Oh well, my new love is hand rolls. Okay, we can fight about traditional non/traditional sushi, but when it comes to it, I will still eat it... So post your pics on sushi or tell us about it here! Now if only I can find my other sushi pic....

i think i'm in the minority-i can't eat sushi.i love fish.i love sushi rice with the vinegar.but something about the texture of the two together makes me gag unmercifully.the first time i tried sushi i was on a date and had to cover the fact that i nearly vomitted at the bar before i could choke the piece down.

no me gusta el sushi tambien. I am no expert, but I would think "tampoco" might be a better choice.

I don't like how sushi is made (salt rice and the lack of beef!!), BUT I like the Korean equivalent of sushi. Kimbap!!

^ Those are my two favorites too. Score. I also really like spicy tuna rolls which are... well, fake American sushi. I will never find those in Japan. I had held off eating sushi for a really long time because the slimey factor was just too much for me. I have come around but the first time I tried eating it I was massively disappointed. This was what I had been holding out for?

Inari and Tamago sushi Not as exotic as the others but tastes rather nice these are the ONLY sushis i like !!!!!! not only because they re vegetarian sushis but also because i LOVE both tofu and omelette !!! AND, for some reason, even if i m not that much of a sushi gal ....(more the kari rice and ramen type) , i find them incredibly delicate and refined for such *fatty?* 5rice, omelet, fried tofu...) ingredients.... of course bad quality Nigiri Tamago or Inarii sushi are the absolute worst but when coming from a good sushi restaurant and when fresh, i could literally swallow a dozen of these and still feel light as a feather i m still not THAT much of a sushi fan but these count among the few exceptions i d gladly swallow !

Anyway, I never liked sushi until I came to Japan. I was one of the gaggers too and I think it has a lot to do with the freshness. Sushi isn't just raw fish on rice, it all has to be cut meticulously from very fresh, very high quality cuts of fish, and handled as little as possible. I think the sushi I had in the UK suffered from poor preparation. Now in Japan, I love the stuff. My absolute favourite is hamachi: I'm also partial to saba: and plain old non-fatty maguro: I'm not fond of the more expensive, fatty type. I never really understood the Japanese fixation with fatty fish. The most expensive part of the tuna - "otoro" - is marbled with a lot of fat and as such it can be quite chewy IMO.

my fave would have to be soft shell crab ( spider roll ) or Seaweed salad. All sushi is ace though, and you know you won't get fat on it !
