I've been dragged all over the world, and been bullied/clinically depressed and all that bulls***. But sorry i don't feel much sympathy for you. Dwelling on the negatives of the past won't accomplish anything. Life gives you s***, take it back chuck it at its face and kick it in the bollocks (i prefer to say that instead of the ole' lemons/lemonade thing). ::insert more motivational comments:::
Why do you care so much about the way people perceive you? It's not their life you're living matey.

Why the f**k do people always like to ask: "Why do you care so much about the way people perceive you?" That's obvious! we all live in the same f**king world. everyone cares how they are percieved, we are social animals with an innate need to belong!

Toodles! ............. You can't have one extreme or the other, obviously. Since you will either be an anarchistic c*nt or a pussified wimp. Unfortunaley this person sounds like he cares too much about what people think about him. Would rather see him in middle ground. Have empathy but not too much. EDIT: yes i don't know him, just basing things of one post before anyone else tries to crucify me with in their mind

Why do you care so much about the way people perceive you? It's not their life you're living matey. If i see a white male/asian female couple i would shout out "MUM! DAD!" sometimes. Then they look at me like a freak whilst me and my mate laugh at humour that only we get. If i see other EA people, i don't care, unless they're fit. But this one time i did keep on bugging this one guy when drunk. Kept on going "oi bro! bro why are you ignoring me! It's your little brother! AAAAAAAAAANDREW!!!" and then he turned around, since his name was actually Andrew.

^^Wtf? Who the hell is a talking about extremes here? I'm not seeing this as a case of "no body likes me" but a case of: "where do I fit in?" He's simply questioning the effects of multiculturism and his identity. Gawd, lighten up!

I don't want to belong anywhere. I am a guest everywhere, and I am comfortable with that. People who persist in reiterating patriotic slogans feel more comfortable as a part of a group, a click. This kind of unity is an illusion.

How about subcultures? Black, White, Hispanic, and all kind of Goths, Emo and what not. Does it make much sense to you?

^uh, no? Who and or what are you addressing? ok, I'll stop with the obvious sarcastic undertones. Are you trying to say those subcultures are "illusions of unity" too?

Is multiculturality the greatest gift a parent can give to his children ? All my life I felt nostalgic or even sad because of my diverse cultural background. Why? I don't think multiculturality is the greatest gift a parent can give their child (It's a great gift for the world though). Yes, it's a beautiful thing, but there are many truly important gifts parents give their children that are way too obvious for me to mention here. A lot of mixed people feel sad because of their background for the reasons you mentioned. I used to. Now I just try to focus on the positive. Maybe it's because I've gotten older and feel more comfortable in my own skin. I'm starting to really enjoy being different. ;D
