haha its sounds exactly like the mold of my last relationship... i was the dedicated type, and she was the indecisive one.. ... and I did crash and burn!
The cool part was that at least both of you were upfront about it. You could put her in your friends zone and (yes is possible for guys to do that)...
or do like Celtriya said, if you can stomach a fling with her with the expectation that it's low key and impermanent, then by all means help yourself.. (just be sure to wear a condom since you know plenty of other dudes have been down there. ;D )

I was just wondering if anyone wanted to share some insight that will prepare me for the heart break I know is going to be around the corner, or if anyone has any positive stories of success, or if anyone can give me a good enough reason to stop while I'm ahead? Ahhhh, with this attitude, you're setting yourself up for failure. You're putting her on a pedestal while forgetting that you have something to bring to the table as well. Don't get me wrong, I get the impression that we have a very similar attitude towards girls and dating. I can totally empathize with you. It sounds like this one is special, so you're just going to have to suck it up, stare failure in the eye and go for it. Just don't psyche yourself out like you're doing. Maybe it won't work out, but f*** it- that's life. Down a pint a Haagen Dazs, wipe yourself off, and move on!

The best thing about forums is the amazingly different and intuitive perspectives of people from all over the world.
This one's a special one so I suppose I will stare failure in the eye and man up about it.
Or rather I'm gonna front and act like I know what I'm getting into... LO f***ing L
Thanks for replies

Or forums can also mean that we are all armchair quarterbacks who are giving you advice so we can see you crash and burn and ask for more advice while we laugh at your misery. But seriously, you should invest what she's investing in it. And that is not much.

Anyways, in the end, my gut instinct tells me I'm going to crash and burn and hate myself in a few months for getting into this. However, I'm still going to pursue her no matter what. Or you could do nothing and regret that months later. But I think your 'gut' is better.

I'm glad you made a decision John Cool. Good Luck and have a blast no matter what. Oh and one more thing. Just remember you'll always have us here to cheer you up when things don't work out.
