For anyone who has moved in with a significant other, do you have any words of advice?

its all gravy. as long as you are cool with the lack of privacy.. and seeing each other in less than perfect light.. ie. first thin in the morning, pre-made up, having a poo.. etc
tip is to make time for yourself / individual friends etc. so you dont mould into becoming each other as a dependent entitiy..

For anyone who has moved in with a significant other, do you have any words of advice? Women may not understand, but I'll give you girls some advice. For a man its is an incredible sacrifice for him to share his sacred space. You should appreciate his effort. Women's body odour is almost overpowering, imagine if someone ate some serious beef vindaloo then farted in your face. That's what chicks are like. So ease back, pull his finger when offered an remember that his other female friends (even though they may fcuk him) are not competition. Women can be really annoying and stifling. The best way to promote a harmonious co-habitation is to give him his space, allow his awesomely cool friends to come over, lots of head jobs and you should report back to EAN for more instructions. That and cook up lots of Yong Fook dishes.

Share holidays and weekends at each others place. Lay outs of a home/apt/house will give you clues about how they prioritize, animals or pets you may be allergic to, cooking that may revolt you, living habits that are less than tolerable. It has worked probably because we were both very open with criticism during that time period. You get the idea real fast when you're honest and outspoken about things. Maybe it's just personality type. If you don't like that then it might be a bit complicated. Not sure. Good luck.
