i've got a coworker who sometimes has his kid at work and i can't work worth a damn when it happens. try to concentrate when a 6 year old is screaming his head off...

I dont know if this common only Vancouver or throughout Canada but when did bringing your dog to work get so popular? That gets on my damn nerves at times, ok its not the same as a child as per this thread (although you wouldnt notice the difference at times) but heck this has to stop! Cats on the other hand are ok...

speaking as a parent,i think this is nuts.it might workwith infants,though i'd be very concerned about disturbing coworkers.but children 3 and above is a very different story.other than my current workplace (a care home),i can't think of a single job i've had where having a child with me would be a good idea. and i see no reason why pets should ever be allowed in an office setting,save a goldfish on the desk or something.
