In the past I dated a lot of EA's. Kinda cool now with the internet you can google them up and see what their up to. One now with a daughter ...another married, another pretty active on her blog. Just things to do when your bored. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGJVyPOWurowww.youtube.com/watch?v=tOifaUXPk4g&NR=1Oprah getting in on the action..lol Pretty fitting song with all those you played around with in the past. Love Outlaw Country...especially Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias is great together with Willie Nelson in this song. This is an archaic forum....how do you all embed youtube vids instead of hyperlinking it? Other forums it's really easy. (Or modern)

When i'm around halfies in america im not attracted to them at all since most of the halfies I met seem to act more like there white side, I guess personality wise. Which for me is a big turn off. BUT in jpn the halfie girls i know there i COULD picture myself dating them even though i prefer full asians more than other halfies simply because they act 100% asian and we have alot more incommon than i would with a halfie that grew up in the US or foreign country. i dont know if that makes sense but yea...whatever lol

I'd say they weren't actively sought, but statistically, most of the people (note the use of pronouns. Ooh.) I've dated in the long-term have come from mixed backgrounds, ethnically and culturally or subculturally. But maybe it could be said I relate more to someone who has at least some level of cross-culture damage. And I'm more attracted to contrasts.

I've always felt too white for Asian people and too Asian for white people so I've always felt more comfortable with my own kind. Purebreeds just don't understand! Plus we're hotter anyway Unfortunately, I now live in a place with hardly any people like me so I've dated mostly white people...but one day...I will find my dreamboat half Korean and we'll get married and have half-breed children...it'll be great

I tried dating one last year, but she was kind of umm... different. Forget similar tastes.. She even made a big deal out of the way I talked. For example, the first time it happened, we were at a store, and the cashier asked if I wanted something or other, and I was like "nah, it's cool". I couldn't live that down. My speech, I mean. First time anyone made a big deal out of how I talk. She'd be all "teeheehee 'nah it's cool'", mimicking me and stuff. So yeah...

I have never singled out women on the dating scene just because of their ethnicity or culture. However, it always strikes me sometimes looking back that every single woman I ended up getting close to, ended up being of mixed heritage including the current one.
Perhaps this is due to Eurasian culture being much more capatible with Central-Asian (also seen as Eurasian) culture, where such emphasis on racial purity or emphasis on european classifications of race simply do not hold any cultural ground on the steppes.
So I feel it's only natural we end up getting attached to each other, I strongly doubt it's preference. However just because a Eurasian hooks up with another Eurasian doesn't mean they would automatically be perfectly compatible - people are still individuals. But some shared ideologies are a plus of course.

Perhaps this is due to Eurasian culture being much more capatible with Central-Asian (also seen as Eurasian) culture, where such emphasis on racial purity or emphasis on european classifications of race simply do not hold any cultural ground on the steppes. There are some real Eurasian beauties in your Central Asian youtube vids. Unfortunately, most of them are in Central Asia - and I'm not. I remember talking about dating Eurasians when I first joined EAN about 5 years ago. At the time I remember saying something about not being too interested in getting involved with an EA girl as it would be like going out with my sister. Also, with my pure-bred girlfriends, I was always able to use my Eurasianness as an excuse for any weird behaviour. "Why do you have to do that?!" "I'm Eurasian. You wouldn't understand..." Well, as it happened, in 2004 I ended up going out with an EA girl for about 10 months. It was incredible to met someone with whom I had so much in common. At first we were just so in love. I felt so proud to walk on the street with her - not because she was beautiful, but because i was emboldened by being with someone like me. It was like a vindication of...well, ME. But, alas, things did not last. There was so much we had in common, but there also many areas where we differed. Our common cultural/ethnic heritage was the foundation upon which we were unable to build. It was very sad, and unfortunately were are no longer friends (though my door is always open). Regarding the 'sister' thing, I have to admit that going out with her was actually worse than going out with my sister; it was like going out with my reflection. Yeah, we looked quite similar and easily passed as siblings, but our personalities in their differences, were also very similar. Maybe I missed my unaccountable behaviour of my previous relationships with 'pure-breeds'. With my EA girlfriend, I had nowhere to hide! My current girl is mainland Chinese, but I feel that there is a slight EA connection. She is Hui Muslim minority from the northwest of China. The Hui (and other Chinese minorities) have an shared antipathy towards the incumbent Chinese state and historically have mixed with the various ethnic groups in Central Asia and beyond. Physically there's something less Chinese about her - though most would assume her to be 'pure' Han Chinese. Though, I sound not to be too keen on having an EA partner, I know that the right EA girl would be the right girl for me.
