Aye, I encountered some negative comments about Russians in the past and although I'm loyal to the Altaic people I don't believe slavic people as individuals are to blame for the misdeeds of their government whether soviet or post-soviet. I got labeled "brainwashed" and "traitor" sometimes.

Yeah, I guess when you become a racial spy, (at least for me) you sorta feel like you AREN'T actually part of whatever ethnicity you are, because of what people SEE in you. I think that part of BEING a certain ethnicity is being RECOGNIZED as being of that ethnicity, if you know what I mean. In terms of how others judge you based on your appearance.

^ Yup, at least when you defend your portuguese side, you're not labeled brainwashed and "russified" heh. Or are you? O.O

Tbh, you should always be a racial "spy". I will pull people up on anything derogatory to other races etc.
Wouldn't mix with people who need such correction, though...

I cop these attitudes all the time too. I remember once being at dinner with friends and friends' friends, and the girls who I hadn't met before started saying bad things about asians AND italians. Everyone who knows me were giving me knowing looks and smirking (the girls weren't being THAT offensive - it was funny more than anything) and they finally asked me what my ethnic background was and when I told them, it was hilarious to watch them try and backpeddle! What a couple of dick knobs

He was smart enough not to say anything. Wouldn't have been hard to dig himself a deep hole. There was another time when a friend of mine came out with a crazy comment that I'm sure he wouldn't have come out with if he recognised my asian heritage. 'Chinese girls - they just stand there waiting to be f*cked.' Woah Nelly, that one nearly knocked me off my feet. He's a scary one - runs a trading company that exports sex toys. Proper pervert. I know what you mean! I met someone when I was in the British army that believes and still believes that an oriental womans vagina is slanted like their eyes! It makes me wonder what other nonsense is still believed?

^ How would that even work? What? The actual opening is slanted (sorry if I'm being too crude)? That would be a good thing anyway. Better than gaping circle. HAHAHAHA

is that the same myth as that one that says Asian women have a vagina that is narrower and thus gives more pleasure to the man or sth. -_-' Probably, and moreover, that same myth goes hand in hand with the myth about Asian male penis size. Anyhow, it depends on where I am/whom I'm around when it comes to being a "racial spy". It happened more when I was around Vietnamese/Asian people back in New Orleans, where they'd speak in Vietnamese assuming that surrounding people couldn't understand what they were saying and were surprised when I'd respond to them in their language. Around here in Phoenix, while folks can generally tell I'm not 100% white, they're not exactly sure what my ethnicities are, so when they'd say anything race-related in my presence, they'd make some disclaimer like "hope that doesn't offend you, in case you're hispanic, Asian or ___ etc"

Does this count if you yourself feel (subconscious or not) some negative feelings toward either part of you? For example, like for me I can admit this, when a white guy(s) are racist I feel like going up to them and cracking their face, and even though I don't (because violence is wrong I'm left with a negative, generalised view of 'bogan' teenage white males in Australia. This is even further amplified by the idiots who start racial riots and destroy the lives of innocent people just because they are not white.

Not all racial riots are without base however, to be fair: The sad thing about Cronulla mate is that the instigators were not the Aussies at all. The Lebs instigated it by driving down to Cronulla and started raping Aussie chicks. It's quite sickening really, but then the Aussies reacted in another sickening manner. They handled it wrong sure; instead of hating on rapists, they hated the entire Lebanese community. And now they are using it to justify expending their hatred against the entire non-white population of Australia. But as much as I despise Aussie racism though, I know Cronulla wasn't just the Aussie's fault.

Once I was having lunch with a friend of mine who happens to be a white male. When we went up to pay for our meal an elderly man approached him and said "you got one of them flip mail brides?"

I wonder why people still prefer to assume instead of asking. If they assume correctly, it breaks the ice in conversations, if they assume wrongly, it's the complete opposite. However what is really weird is that some people still tend to assume the incredibly outrageous and insulting things. Yet they have absolutely no empathy to realize they are being rude.
Can people really be this stupid? Or if they are doing this on purpose - which in that case, a few "hospitalisations" should be in order.
