I am currently a student and also a freelance writer as well as a virtual store owner. I also want to open my own brick-and-mortar boutique one day and introduce people to a whole different kind of fashion. I want to be Editor-In-Chief of my own magazine someday. I am slowly getting there. A lot of multitasking entrepreneurial types this generation! Through my ebay store I sell non-English language magazines especially fashion special editions and Japanese design mooks however right now I'm venturing into more serious business so to speak with a new party pics website.

I'm self employed and pick up any odd job I can find. I also sell my blood and win the occassional bar bet. You know, the real classy sort.

^What field? I'm self-employed too considering I'm paid on a project basis as I market my skills on offshore labor platforms, the big advantage is that I can work anywhere on the planet as long as I have a laptop however there is no job security nor health benefits. The salary is pretty good because I'm paid in Swiss Francs not weak Dollars/Euros. I'm currently helping some friends illustrating an English-language 2000's fashion encyclopedia inspired from the very detailed Nippon look books and an awesome French style dictionary you can check out there a video here: www.laffont.fr/livre.asp?code=978-2-221-11205-2&anim=ok Hopefully I'll get a tiny % of total sales or at least some press coverage.

Sounds pretty sweet, but I hear your pains about the job security. I mostly do landscaping gigs.

I haven't posted here in a while.
I'm graduating soon from UW and I plan on starting the teacher certification/masters degree program (in special education) next summer, that's if I get accepted into the school, but I think I will. I can't believe that I'm going to be a teacher, I never saw myself as one. But it's funny, the first day I volunteered at my nephews school I knew that I wanted to change my major and be a teacher.

It's good to see you around again. If I remember correctly, you were stabbed in the butt by a homeless guy?

If I remember correctly, you were stabbed in the butt by a homeless guy? Wait. What? Is that a euphemism?

Hey, this time next year I'll have a real job! And despite being financially self-sufficient, married, living in my own (rented) place, I'll begin to feel like a "real" person, especially when we get that first mortgage payment due.

Student atm
A self proclaimed illustrator.
In a few weeks I will be quitting school again to work at a frilly clothing store.
Before I leave this world I hope to be a childrens book illustrator and author. :-)

I'm back to painting, doing a painting a day, nothing special in my eyes but I gotta keep the creative flow going or I'll stop again. I have no desire to lecture or teach anymore, it was fun and I did enjoy it but it's not my life path. Did side jobs here and there like store front designs, etc meh.
Probably start doing gallery shows again, wear all black and speak in a german accent and talk about my brooding depression and how it's the center of my art and creativity.
