"Yeah, people who are half Asian and half white are always either really, really ridiculously beautiful or really, really effing ugly. Never in between." I don't know where you work, but it's rare for non-EA's to just start talking about EA's out of the blue. Anyway, that quote has been applied to almost every ethnic group--especially about the women by men with very particular tastes. However, most of the guys I talk to recognize this kind of dimorphism most in Russian women. This girl apparently studied in Japan and is obsessed with anime and all things Asian. She walked into work one day wearing a kimono and some ancient style samurai hat or whatever she said it was, and not as a joke or for any special purpose. I'm telling you, this chick's a dork for real. But anyway, I guess people like that are the ones who would pay attention to anything Eurasian. I hope she doesn't find out I'm Eurasian. Partly because I don't wanna help confirm her list of really, really effing ugly EAs and partly cuz I'm afraid she'll be obsessed with me if I tell her.

I wiped my booger on the flower vase while I was in the waiting room at the doctor's office. But other than that, I don't really find myself many occasions where I CAN be barbaric.

There's this annoying, slightly nerdy girl at work who no one really likes but we're all nice to her anyway. She says the dumbest comments and we always just smile and nod our heads. Here's what the retard said the other day: "Yeah, people who are half Asian and half white are always either really, really ridiculously beautiful or really, really effing ugly. Never in between." Hmmm...I don't think she knows I'm Eurasian but I'm pretty sure she doesn't think I'm "really, really ridiculously beautiful." Should I embarrass her by informing her that I'm EA?

I feel that just about everyone has the potential to look good if they stay healthy and in good shape. Some extraordinary folks look good no matter the shape they're in. People who obsess over the body are usually the ones with the unattractive faces. Probably working on the body to compensate for the ugly face.

And everybody always thinks their own children are the best looking no matter what so I guess it's a win win situation for every parent.

Saw a picture of Danny DeVito's daughter the other day. She looks like Danny DeVito, which I imagine leads to many awkward moments. They wouldn't be that goofy looking if they had longer necks.

Anyway, you are both good looking people, so your kids are likely to get that passed down regardless. Not true at all, my man. At the day care center I work at, I see a lot of very attractive parents bring in their ugly children (and vice versa). And I'm pretty sure some of these kids will never be able to outgrow their ugliness. There was a baby in my room who looked like a dog skeleton and her parents are both very beautiful in the face. Sounds mean, but now you know what the day care staff are talking about when you leave.

Do any of you speak Spanish? If so, do you ever play along with the whole Latino mistaken identity thing?

Saw a pack of Russian-speaking Kazakh boys in the Amsterdam airport. Totally wanted to practice my Russian with them but they looked about 14 years old and I didn't wanna look like a pervert.

Ironically, I feel I look more Asian after I gained more weight. My chubbier face makes me look more Asian. It seems like the skinnier you are the bigger your eyes look. lol

I used to get away with not having to buy toilet paper in the apartment when it was my turn to. I would steal it from the utility closets in the bathrooms at school because the janitors never locked them. But after about two months of doing it, the janitor started locking it.
I definitely do the food sampling without buying. Other than that, I can't steal. But not because of a guilty conscience, only because I'm always paranoid I'll get caught somehow.

I should also note that I had little calcium intake growing up and even now, as I've always been lactose intolerant and I don't like milk anyway. I also just had a bad diet in general growing up, so this may have contributed to my shortness rather than just my genetics. My sister drank milk all her life and is much taller than me.

I went to public schools all my life and while I'd like to blame them for my deficiency in mathematics and sciences, the truth is, they were great public schools. I was just lazy. My younger years were at DoD (military base schools) and my high school was in a McMansion suburb that pumped so much unnecessary money into the school, it was a Democrat's dream. The only things that really sucked were the bureacracy that's expected with any public school, and the poor kids from the dumps who rode the bus from their own districts to our school every morning. I don't know if it's because they got expelled from their own crummy schools or if it was the No Child Left Behind Act, but they were definitely the reason our school fell a couple notches in state ratings and why the school has to spend more money on security.
The whole difference between public and private schools isn't as big as it was maybe 20 years or more ago. These days bureaucracy has benefitted middle class suburban school districts to the point it's sickening. I would only think about sending my kid to a private school if I lived in the inner city or the South, where the schools are generally crap.
