I posted a thread on this topic about 5 years ago..... but I was really curious to find out again what the responses were, especially with all the new posters we have.
What are you truly passionate about?
.... and the follow on question:
What are you doing about it?

27 views and no replies...no passion?
I am passionate about love. I dont know if there is anything else that I can say I'm passionate about, as I don't do anything about those things. As for love, I try to follow love. I want to be pure of heart to never get angry, and try to understand every situation, everyone, everything I encounter so I can be of service.
Actually I do love traveling. What I'm doing about it... I'm trying to support my traveling financially. I think about traveling professionally. Its about time I put thoughts to action.

Phil stole my first passion. I am also passionate about love. Not only romantic and familial love, although I am one of those hopeless romantics that will stand in the pouring rain to wait for the one I love and try my very best to help my family. I really want to help other people, especially the less fortunate and children. I fully support the Make-A-Wish Foundation in hopes of granting the wishes of kids with terminal illnesses. It's just a little more I can do to give back to society. I love writing, so I am pursuing my dream to become a journalist right now so I can bring knowledge to the world we live in. I guess I am just passionate about life in general. I really want to do as much as I can and accomplish as many of my dreams as I can and just be happy and enjoy the life I've been presented with. I love surprises and challenges.

I don't have a passion because I'm broke. Passions cost money.

Harder to be cheesier than idealists. Yet I'm going to say my passion is music, I've been studying musical and sound theory for years, practice instruments, often go see acts live from classical to electronica genres, keep myself up to date with the industry/artists whereabouts...

Hey Hype, hahaha, how could I steal your passion, we obviously share it I was in a book store the other say and there was a book about being in the moment and on the back there was an excerpt "breath in , breath out, you are alive, it's a miracle." I was kinda frustrated with lack of making money and not seemingly getting anywhere with my pursuits but that line reminded me of my own happiness, and love of life. How the journalism journey going?

^ It's always nice to share lol. I'm sure we've been taught that at some point in our lives....mostly as kids. I really want some kind of entry-level job of which can serve as an outlet for my writing. Doesn't have to earn money, but it would be nice if that is a bonus! College students are poor -_- and I am the poorest of the poorest.

High-five, hype. I'm a brokeback biotch too. But that's what credit cards are for.

I put my pants on just like the rest of you -- one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make gold posts.

High-five, hype. I'm a brokeback biotch too. But that's what credit cards are for. Don't believe the MasterCard commercials. Priceless hopes and dreams can and will be repoed. My passion: The Venus ProjectStatus: Abandoning medicine to pursue environmental engineering. The stresses seen in health care systems around the world are just symptoms of greater societal problems. A better band aid isn't the solution. The solution is inevitable. I want to be able to contribute to this transformation should this change occur in my lifetime.

At the risk of sounding like another of those liberal hippie students (step in line), my passion is Human Rights. What do I do about it? I'm going through law school, despite my not having any interest in the classical field of law, so I can use my degree as a tool to defend and promote human rights. Thankfully, I volunteer for a live-in caregiver association here, where I can already see the legal skills, amongst other skills, are essential in defending HR. I try to be involved in another number of academic and extra-curricular activities that involve HR. I spend way too much time reading blogs on the subject. One of my fave: wrongingrights.blogspot.com/Other passion would be travelling, I try to travel any chance I have. What do I do about it? Kill myself working way too many hours to fund the traveling. I guess the first two items are higher up on my passion list, because I don't get to allot enough time to my liking to what could be my third passion. FOOD! I love it! Eating it, cooking it, trying something new! Hah, well I obviously make time to eat it, and try to bring/buy all sorts of foods that make me go YUM. I do adore cooking and trying new recipes, but unfortunately, since I'm rarely home, I don't get to spend as much time cooking as I wish I could. I've been home sick lately though and have been enjoying cooking with my dad. We cooked up a lovely beef stifado last night and my account of my meal to my boyfriend was far too exuberant for a normal person heh. I think an important part of my passion for travel is the food component. Also, I've realised that a wide offering of cuisine from different countries, be it in terms of restaurants/vendors or ingredients is so important to me that wherever I decide to settle, it will be a requirement.
