My dog fixes his own bed. Just thought I'd share that with you.

Yeah, Dad just found out the other day when he was taking washing off the line (rare occurrence). I told him he's been doing that since he was a puppy (though he had a lot more trouble then because he was so small being a Jack Russell cross).

Awsome link. I enjoyed Mr Lee's picture haha. I wish I could get a cam for my kitty too, but she'd just be sitting at home sleeping and eating...and sleeping.

a few weeks ago, some snake strayed into my house. how it got inside to begin with is beyond my comprehension, but boy i felt like i was sitting on fire for the time between getting off the phone with wildlife control and them arriving to take it away. even though i was somewhat worried for myself(i don't do snakes!), i was much more worried for my pet bird, who's like the baby of our family. i watched that slitherer like a hawk. i don't think i'd ever felt so much like "mother bear" than before that time.

^ did wildlife control indicate if the snake was poisonous?? I'd probably flee outta the house forgetting I have a pet that I need to protect.

I'd probably flee outta the house forgetting I have a pet that I need to protect. they said even though it wasn't poisonous, they're very fast and aggressive. and the past times he'd handled with them, they'd bite him and it'd get bloody. good thing we had it cornered in a small space(it slithered under the pantry door) so it was easier to capture it.

Gosh, yeah that sounds really frightening. I'm glad that no one got hurt in your house. This reminded me of this one time, when we first moved in the apartment we live in right now. My husband went out to the balcony to get the laundry because of our laundry machines are outside. As he was stepping back into the apartment, he fell something dropped on his shoulder. It was a black spider with the hourglass mark... yup, black widow. He freaked out and patted his should. The spider fell into the laundry basket full of clothes... He ended up spending 30 minutes taking out each piece of clothing and find the spider. I wouldn't touch the laundry basket with the 10 foot pole He did end up finding it and um... squashed it Apparently most black widows reside in America southwest. They're just so anti social and so hidden the chance of you actually encountering one is slim to none.

^i've had my share of spiders as well, but didn't squash them when i captured them. i just threw them back outside. i wish them no harm, including this snake, which was why i called the professionals to capture it, take it away, and release it back into the wild. i mean, had i tried catching it myself, i imagine it would jump at me the way it did at the guy and i prolly would've reacted by killing it and causing more mess.

^ Geez, you're thinking like a politician lol.
I don't dare "capturing" it and throwing it back outside, just because first, I have nothing to contain it with and I'm probably too chicken to come near it. Second, if I do throw it outside, I'm afraid that it's gonna accidently climb back into someone else's bacony or patio.

Anyone in the mood for jerked snake?
