^ Aww... that's sad. I refused to leave my cat behind when I moved 3 times in 1 year. I didn't even think of the stress it would've caused my cat by moving around. She was with me flying on the plane, driving cross country, staying at different hotels... etc. You didn't take him along because you were considerate about his stress....but what if he doesn't mind the stress and wants to come with you?

^ My last cat that passed was forever traumatized by our cross country move. He used to be a outgoing playful cat after move he was easily scared and freak out if he ever went out of the house for a vet visit, etc it was so sad. His personality was a total change for the bad and it was sad to see him scared all the time for no reason. My cat now does not travel well at all, he get's so nervous that he can not control his bowel movements even on meds and a little food before a trip. I just don't want to give him issues like my other cat because my other cat passed away suddenly because he freaked himself out so bad being at the groomers. I rather know that he will have a forever loving home, he has a awesome personality and in no way would I want the long move to change that. I don't think I will bother getting a cat for awhile, maybe after we have settled and buy a house maybe then.

I need to get my cockatiel some hardcore play equipment, because at the moment he is so attached, everytime I leave the room he keeps calling for me. craving attentionHe used to well behaved and quiet and he's get more attention, but now argh I really should invest more in chew toys and big swings.

aww. hope he's better;it can be really worrying when your animal gets ill. it'd be nice if there were health insurance for pets.i freak out when my cat gets sick and i have to choose between food for me or medicine for her.

^ Oh no.... Are you going to the vet? Yes, I took him in straight away. Got some antibiotics for him, and something to stop him from feeling nauseous, but he's still not eating. If he doesn't start eating today I'll have to take him back and have him admitted. Is your Charlie better now? I was combing Cloudy's hair today and found a flea... then I gave her some medicine I didn't use up from before, and then guilt set in. I'm a terrible caretaker!! ><!! i move the stars for no one: There is health insurance for pets. Try VPI pet insurance. Google it and see what comes up. That's the one I use to insure Cloudy. I started her young so back then it was like USD $9.00 a month. Now that she's older it's about $20.00 a month. It covers a percentage of anual exam, shots, emergency (I think deductible is $50.00 or something, not sure), flea medicine and stuff. The only drawback is you gotta pay first and file claim after you pay it. This sucks cuz there were a few times when I forgot to claim it.

^ Sorry to hear about that. You knew about the diabetes yet you still raised Charlie and your other cat? That's very nice of you...

^ Good for you. Wish there are more pet owners like you in this world. I once watched an episode of judge Judy (this court show with real court cases) of a person suing the breeder for selling puppies with sicknesses. That made me sad, sick puppies don't need love? i move the stars for no one: You're welcome. I hope you find that useful, especially in case of emergency.

oh f**k.speaking of cat emergencies,i had to take Sophie in at 1 this morning.something bit her and her foot was hugely swollen and abcessed. 423 f**king dollars. heart attack. and she was out of the stupid collar before i could even pay the receptionist, and then she pissed on the lobby floor just to get back at them for putting the collar on twice. poor baby, she's reeeeeeeeally upset,on top of being in pain. as much as i'm about to keel over,i'm really glad i woke up and found it because an infection that spread that fast could have been deadly if i'd waited. and did i mention that it cost 423 f**king dollars?

^ I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to Sophie...but her collar is just way too cute!!! It's like a little princess skirt. Did they ever figure out what bit her?? And, did you join the pet insurance in time?
