I use controller , though Im considering in investing a wheel , what ones you reccomend money-wise , Y2J? So you're looking out for a wheel, but you don't want to spend much. That's kind of hard, because if you're looking for a quality wheel you'd have to probably save a little extra. You can get one for about $70 bucks, but they're not very good. Loitech wheels are a little dearer, $100 plus, but they're very good, so I recommend that you save up for a top quality one. I work at EB, since you're a gamer, I'm sure you're familiar with the store, there's a massive sale on, ask for a Logitech wheel. If it's too dear, you should save for one. I reckon they're best.

I thought Logitech wheels were the cheap ones... I don't even CONSIDER Mad Catz and stuff.. You aren't a serious gamer if you get those.

@dre: Aight, Rome: Total War is totally the shït, the best strategy game ever made. PERIOD. It's so damn perfect, it is what defines epic strategy gaming. Nothing for wusses and those with no brainscells to think and plan. War strategy in real life works here as well. Which nation do you prefer playing with? My favourite are and always have been the Carthaginians (historically and in the game). Their war elephants are virtually tanks smashing everything in their path...it's so fun to see hordes of the enemy being thrown through the air. Ahh, everything about this game is so perfect. You should look out for Spartan: Total Warrior, a hack'n slash game for the consoles (by the same developers). It puts you in the role of a single Spartan warrior that fights in battlefields against hordes of Romans and mythological creatures. Looks a bit so-so at the moment, but it does sound promising. Released in September. My favourite nation is the Romans (historically and in the game), once they have Marius' reforms their units and technology, like the legionary cohort, praetorian guard and heavy onagers are unstoppable. If I had to choose another race, it would have to be the Seleucids, their phalanxes and cataphracts are a pretty good combination. I've seen clips of Spartan: Total Warrior, it look pretty good. Although it won't have the same depth as PC games would. You should see what the expansion for Rome: Total War looks like. I think its gonna be called Barbarian Invasions and there will be new factions to use such as the Franks, Vandals and Huns. The Roman Empire is gonna be split into the Western and Eastern part (just as it was in history). I think the graphics are gonna be improved as well, it looks awesome.

Ideally , Im looking for one with a sequential gears (just a stick that does goes up and down to change gears) , I think a Logitech would be a good choice seeing it is a quality brand , as you say. I was at EB knox city though last night , Yeah , it was a massive sale , the whole shop was decorated in plastic bags saying "MASSIVE SALE"

If you can still find it these days, Act Labs made a great ForceFeedback steeringwheel with faux-leather grip. It was reasonably priced too and compatible with an H-gate shifter module (another Act Labs product). Act-Labs RS Formula Force Wheel & RS Shifter If not, stick with Logitech.

We got crap all over the place, it barely looks like a store any more! The one you're talking with sequential gears, there's a Logitech one you can get with 900 degree rotation. I think it has sequential gear as well, it's about $299, but is the cream of the crop.

If people are gonna play online games, play Guild Wars. Unlike World Of Warcraft, it's free.

Still waiting for Dynasty Warriors 5. I hate Australia, we always get games later than Japan, US, Canada and the UK. Yep, sucks to be us.

The Dynasty Warriors series really needs some innovation. Know if there's anything new and cool in the 5th one?

^ But I bet importing costs are much cheaper - Japan's right next door! ^^ It's more up the street than next door, but importers will still charge you unnecessarily for something you can get a hell of a lot cheaper if you wait for it to arrive in the country. The Dynasty Warriors series really needs some innovation. Know if there's anything new and cool in the 5th one? New Characters, Elite Bodyguards, incorporates Empires style play with that of conventional DW play. New items, tigers, etc. I'm not terribly fussed, I enjoyed DW4. Dynasty Warriors 5 – Official Site (Japanese Language Only!)
