So I finish up Muay Thai and a friend doing it with me says, "hey, let's run back." Spent the next 20 minutes running 3 miles barefoot, through the busy city.
Some guy got all pissy with us prior to our departure, trying to tell us not to run back and take the shuttle instead. I assured him we were experienced runners, but he responded "well, are you experts at Korean diseases?" Diseases have nationalities now? Wouldn't have bothered me, but friend is real sensitive and gets butthurt very easily. So I had to hear about this the whole way back.
Actually, I'm not so dense that I don't get what he was going at. I'll also admit running barefoot through the city probably wasn't the brightest idea (wasn't mine), but I'm not about to turn down a challenge, only to see my friend on the other side with a smug look on his face. While I was in Arizona with this guy we'd run through the desert and up the mountains barefoot. It was a bit cleaner, I think, but there was so much more blood. Stepping on a cactus is quite possibly the most painful thing I've ever done, and I've done much. Had several 2-3 inch spikes lodged into the sole of my foot, but the most painful were in the arch. Don't be hatin'.

Hooah everyone, endurance weekend begins tonight.
Consists of constant PT (exercise) and various physical challenges with little breaks, minimal caloric intake and sleep deprivation. It'll be interesting to see who makes it to the end.
See you guys in a couple days.

Done. Not the first time I've done this and it hopefully won't be the last. Chances are, it sounds strange to normal people, as even many of my coworkers found it odd. But, I do it in hopes that it'll better prepare me for the SFAS/SFQC in which candidates are tested physically, but more so mentally. To maximize my chances of passing, I need to be familiar with operating in austere conditions. I only get one shot.

The lighter varieties of honey (like clover and orange blossom) crystallize faster than the darker varieties. Crystallization squeezes moisture of the supersaturated solution (which honey is) allowing yeast and bacteria to grow in those diluted puddles. But with proper storage I'm sure you can make it last. Alexander the Great was embalmed in honey--but made him too yummy to keep around for long. ;D Actually, mummified remains were powdered and made into tea for medicinal reasons. Alexander the Great would've made a Great sweet tea.

Too many strawberries will make you break out in hives. Happened to me as a kid, and just happened to a friend of mine.

The New Zealand national basketball team is called the Tall Blacks. No kidding. Yet for some strange reason the Australian team is not called the Tallabies. Maybe because that's not a word?
