Dogs for the win!
I'll have to scan a picture of our old family dog. He was a border collie/samoyed mix, and sooo cute. I felt a lot safer when he was around. My mom has talked about getting a new dog ever since we had to put him down but I don't know if it would be fair since we're not home all day and we don't have the time to train a new dog now. I imagine she would get a dog when I eventually move out, though.

I like both equally (for different reasons), but since I have a cat at the moment that's what I voted for.

Obviously, I'm a cat person hehe.... I don't like how dogs are too attached and needy. If I want something/someone like that, I'd just have a child. Cats rock!!

I'm sorry i knew there would be some who were impartial. I just wanted the poll to be non-ambiguous and that those who were would just post that they were. I just didn't actually think dogs would beat cats by that much (72% - 28%)...and the forum that proceeded the voting on that show was very one-sided despite the crap convincing of the cat loving 'celebs'. Cat loving celebs: Yeah well at least they made good songs about cats. "Whats new p****cat?"...thats a good song but who wants to listen to "Who let the dogs out?"! and they pretty much used the 'dogs wants masters, cats wants servants' to make cats look bad. and the audience was filled with teenage girls...so kinda something wrong in that too. btw James, Kris and Marie...CUTE KITTIES AND PUPPIES!

cats for sure.i'm slowly growing to like other people's dogs, especially because they don't come home with me and aren't my responsibility, but i'd never want to own one.i don't have that much energy to put into an animal that needs so much attention, not to mention maintenence (i am NOT into picking up poop.)i find cats to be the perfect balance of affectionate and independant.they just suit my personality better. Everybody's cats are adorable!i especially like how coy Freecia's cat looks in the first pic. though Noodles is a really, really cute dog.

dogs all the way. dogs are active, look after you just the same as you look after them, and are much easier to handle.

Anyone see that movie, Cats and Dogs? Where the Dogs and Cats could talk, had technology and were at war?
