I'm gonna go to the flower market on new years eve, get some orchids and other flowers to decorate the house and give to people. Victoria park? I only live 10 mins. walk away, so I might see you there. I had punchoy at a friend's place for 2 years in a row, but i will miss it this year as I will be flying to Phuket on Chor 3. i have a harbour view from my bedroom, so maybe I will just watch live lying in bed. you know how some people can see fireworks in bed? Well, I am one of them. Why will you miss the ones from work? Will you not go back to work after CNY? I dread red packets now, esp. from the married people who are YOUNGER than me.

I'm not sure what we will be doing. If my son's Sifu rents a van, then we might be going to Chinatown, NY with his Kung Fu brothers and sisters.....Otherwise I'm a sissy when it comes to driving in NY. I'd rather drive in Philliy.
Haven't heard from our campus Chinese Assoc. yet either, so they may not be doing anything either or just not inviting us.
We used to do the ancestor stuff, but won't be doing that this year since my mother-in-law turned "Christian." I'm Christian and I still don't see what not doing the ancestor stuff has to do with being Christian.

My sisters hubby is on call, so I have to go into the city. Not that I mind that, but she's planning on cooking. She's a capable person and has many talents, but cooking isn't one of them. It's looking like a take-out New Year tomorrow. I'm bringing a pear almond tart.
