I live in a Portuguese and Brazillian neighborhood and in some of the restaurants you can see a full pig rotating over an open fire. Also suckling pig is very common - head and all.

Durian smells the death ! I have eaten frogs and snails, calf's tongue, head, liver and brain. Horse's steack once but I didn't like the taste...and my chinese sign is horse. I eat oysters alive but not fried, pig's ears and foot. I don't like natto for breakfast in Japan, octopus and silk worm larvae in Korea. Fugu and big shrimp still alive in Sashimi here just rule! Who already tried snake, scorpion or cockroaches?

Good point. Once you call it fermented and boiled duck zygote it does have a more appealing ring to it. I'll take a baker's dozen

3) I don't eat whole animals. Eating this you don't just eat muscle (as with a normal cut of meat) you eat internal organs and bone too (the picture even looks like it has developing feathers) actually that's my only problem with it. I just picture myself munching down on its skull * crunch crunch* But you know, if it was really tasty I'd probably get over it quick. I needs my protein

(the picture even looks like it has developing feathers) well, how much it's developed depends on the stage of which it's incubated. some places sell it at a lesser developed stage, some others are kinda late. by the stage that it's got feathers and its internal organs/bones are noticeably developed, i don't like it. i normally like it in its lesser-developed form. now that's a good way to look at it ;D

hm oh really?... why do they lay them then? They get tricked? *stupid* Kind of like the reason most human females lay them each month even though they aren't fertilized ;P

Balut seems strange, do you eat like that, not cooked?
I have japanese friend who have tasted it with beer.
He told me that he could feel the birds wings.... He eats suppon, chinese pitan (rotten eggs) and turtle jelly too.
I like him ;D
