^What's a good man to the women here? (I know the answer may vary, but there must be some things in common)

My reasoning? I have no reason or clarity right now, I'm just angry. This guy that I'm basically forced to have a friendship with due to things I won't go into has severely pissed me off in a very typically male fashion. Instead of just being upfront he has avoided the truth because he wanted to avoid the reaction he is now getting from me. Men are very sneaky that way, to avoid an inevitable confrontation they work around and avoid s*** that really should be dealt with first thing. I can't explain it more without revealing what specifically I'm angry about and it's way too personal for me to go into detail about it. Now, just for the record: I think women suck too. I think people as a whole suck, and they suck in the same ways a lot, but then there are some gender specific ways of sucking. This guy sucks in a very male way. f***ing jackass.

Men are very sneaky that way, to avoid an inevitable confrontation they work around and avoid sh*t that really should be dealt with first thing. I feel you. I can give one typical example how sneaky they can be. For when they want to break up with a women without a valid reason. They usually try avoid confrontation and guilt by turning into a maj0r a$$h0le. They expect u to hate them. As a result, they will be guilt free when UR the one decided to leave them.

^Ugh, I hate that move, trying to force the other person to do the dirty work. Although, I do prefer being the dumper so I guess it kind of works out for me. But it's still irritating when you're going through it. @brad: Kill yourself.

Ah, I used to try that in high school. Ultimately though, "I'm not happy with you anymore" is as valid a reason as any.

I broke up with my last boyfriend because he took a country posting (he's a policeman) and because he didn't like my friends. He didn't even tell me he was seriously considering taking up a position in the country, just slipped "I applied for a position in Leonora" into the conversation on the drive to a small town to catch up with some of his police "buddies". It was like he was too scared to tell me in case I'd get upset but what surprised me most was that he would think I'd get upset since we'd only been together for about 3 months and hardly ever saw each other anyway. I wanted to laugh but instead just wished him luck while I was thinking "Yup, you get that posting and you can kiss your sex life goodbye, ha ha!" (there are basically no women in Leonora). Another thing that annoyed me that I think is probably a guy thing was that while we were with his police "buddies" at the party I was getting along better with them than he was and he seemed jealous. I could tell he wasn't as popular as he made himself out to be, he seemed more along the lines of an acquaintance. I was mingling with his friends on my own (I hadn't met most of them before, the rest I met the previous night) since he was playing catch up elsewhere and I was having a good time. During the night one the guys got drunk and was spouting all this crap to me (he'd recently witnessed a death in custody plus all these other problems with being a cop) and seemed upset though he was trying to hold it together so I spent a long time listening to him. Yeah, he did say that if I weren't with someone he'd be hitting on me but he knew that I'd never cheat on a boyfriend. Anyways my guy comes rushing up to us and not very subtly breaks up the conversation. I was annoyed because the guy was pouring his heart out and hey I'm a big girl and I can look after myself! The guy I was listening to declares to him angrily "You better treat her good because if I hear that you've broken up with her..." and then punches my boyfriend hard in the arm. So for my ex's efforts to protect his property he got a dead arm.

Yeah, he did say that if I weren't with someone he'd be hitting on me but he knew that I'd never cheat on a boyfriend. When a dude says this, he IS hitting on you. Respectable dudes don't let drunken jackasses hit on their gf, props to your ex on this one. Should it surprise you that an attractive girl is more popular at a party then one of the guys?

The cops were both guys and girls and most had partners. I was talking with everyone. And the drunk guy never said anything more than that in respect to hitting on me. We kept our distance and there was no touching of the arm etc. It was kinda formal in a way. Plus if he was turning into a creepy sleazebag I would've ended the conversation and found someone else to talk to.

^Men love to denounce any possibility that a woman is a likeable person when women mention things like this, they cut you down by way of complimenting your looks. Sneaky sneaky typical male behavior.

Complimenting looks is a cut-down? What he said is a pickup line pure and simple, and actually I think a perfect example of sneaky sneaky male behavior. I think VLR is a very likeable person
