When I was a kid, I tried to overcome my insecurities about being mixed race, with the standard talk about being exotic and hybrid, a bridge between 2 cultures etc. But as an adult that really falls flat for me. I'm basically treated by the world as an Asian male, with slight euro features. Hi there, I know what you mean... I got a french Father & chinese Ma, France where I live basically see me as an Asian Male & in Hong Kong where i grew up i was the white guy... (Rolls eyes) It took me decades to get over it but eventually i did.... I too hated my folks for that, especially having been a latchkey kid.... But you'll get over it, don't let this eat you up & your folks can't be blamed because the world wasn't ready for us taking it over...

in fact looking at politics in general, i d say that charisma plays a bigger role in democracies than in dictatorships...because those who get to judge whether or not that person has charisma are the people voting. since they didn t for Stalin...not so sure about it... Your right, indeed I got it wrong. ie the Korean Kims..... A hamster's chubby cheeks got motre charisma than theirs.... ;D Tho Stalin had a double in his place as he was a paranoid S.O.B....

I'm sure personal charisma played some role in it Completely plays a role in it. (Hitler's speaches swayed the masses then) Look at politics in general. Even in a company's Management, it's important.

despite my mother relentlessly calling every week complaining I'm already 26, still single and that I don't own my car or house. She insists on me getting married soon, anxious I won't find a proper husband in a few years Your mum's Korean, right ? ;D Reminds me of my chinese mum.... hehehe There was an "asian mums" Thread once..... (When I told mine on the phone that my then GF is Algerian, there was a pause.... then [Insert Chinese accent here] "Is she brown ?"

For years now, when I'm asked what are my origines, I say "Eurasian". If I get a blank stare, i'll specify. Having grown up & worked in Hong Kong, I was labled White. Here in France for the last 10 years, i'm seen as Asian. So I'm Eurasian.

Let's say you marry the love of your life...and then..sex just stops. Or you get it once a month. Yes, yes the one you are with should be your friend as well as your lover. It's not PC i guess to say that sex important. It's always about the "Friendship". In my experience...sex is very very important. In that case...stay friends. People who are asexual need companionship...yes. But don't seek it with another man or woman that wants and desires sexual intimacy. If I have to beg you to be with me, to touch me, to kiss me... and I don't get it... I will seek it somewhere else. "cheating" ain't ok in me book. But I concur, between the sheets activity is very important and throughout marriage. If the partner's not up to it, up to us to tickle'em, arouse 'em... Before even considering "ok, he/she doesn't satify me, gotta look at the menu & place an order", keep comm. channels open. VERY very important in a couple.

I actually introduced her here... She didn't stay long... She never wondered/bothered what it is to be EA. French in the head. *shrugs* Or maybe she got fooked over and couldn't show her face again? nah, just wasn't interested... Like my sister, not curious about EAs
