lol When I read through this thread sometimes it sounds like we're on an EA hunt, like we're searching for Eurasians as if we're looking for four-leaf clovers. I'm guilty of this myself, though.

I've realized that when I meet other EAs randomly, that I have as little in common with them as the general population

Heh. I've made this wonderful little discovery in hong kong.. There is this little underground club known mainly to ex-international school hong kongers and the crowd is pretty much always 50% young eurasians. Its madtastic. Lets see there must have been.. at least 30 of us there last night. I clearly remember people drunkenly yelling 'its good to be mixed'. Its starting to become clear to me that mixed people in hong kong really stick together and so we're all connected in some way or another. Makes dating a little hard though . Oh and two of the bartenders are very very goodlooking eurasian girls.. like VERY. I think one of them is a model. So yea, if you're ever in hong kong, find bassment.. although its kind of a crazy place. where is it/what's the name of the place?

Met one at uni. Half Chinese (Singapore), half Irish. We're friends now and I never thought I'd meet any EAs, so it's quite cool to have one as a friend. She is super pretty, slim and gorgeous. She certianly made me feel like the ugly EA!

One place I was surprised to see a shiiiiit load of EAs was the Washington, DC area last month. I even saw some who had to be 60+ years old, which is cool because that's rare for that generation. I also saw a couple EA guy+EA gal couples, also rare.

Saw a pack of Russian-speaking Kazakh boys in the Amsterdam airport. Totally wanted to practice my Russian with them but they looked about 14 years old and I didn't wanna look like a pervert.

I've realized that when I meet other EAs randomly, that I have as little in common with them as the general population Sometimes even less. Even when I meet NON-random EAs, I might not have much in common with them. Even though I share parents, a whole family of relatives with my biological brother (or other EA relatives), I don't share much more with him than with a random EA, which may still be less a monoracial with whom I do share some background with. However, if the random EA has some of the same issues (such as being put in a separate category from everyone else) - I might have some common ground to DEVELOP with them, but it is anything but automatic. Even TCK's often experience growing up among other TCK's, so I could not often relate well to that experience either. I know of some monoracials who were raised in a Eurasian family (because one of their parents remarried, and had EA children). There could be some common ground with them. In any case, sometimes I truly wish I could understand the world of the monoracial. It is like they see the world in black and white instead of different shades of grey.
