I actually prefer cheap chocolate to fancy schmancy chocolate! Give me cadbury's chocolate and I'm a happy girl!

I had to die my hair and the first thing I told the colorist was that it had to be the color of chocolate

ooh,i love jacque torres.his show on the food network was so cool,it was really educational when i was decorating cakes and whatnot.it would be so much fun to be a pastry chef! i hate dark chocolate, but i looooove milk and white, esp the cheap stuff. the one chocolate concoction i hate is pure chocolate ice cream, blech. and milk chocolate and toffee together is quite possibly the food of the gods.

English Cadburys tastes completely different to the Australian stuff.
Apparently, according to my dad, the reason why this is the case is because in Australia (and across Asia, where it is exported to) the temperatures are higher, and it is more humid. So they modified the recipe to adjust to this change in climate.
Believe me, you're missing out if you only can get hold of the Australian stuff.
Speaking of which American chocolate is pretty..dire too.

Speaking of which American chocolate is pretty..dire too. Oy, if you want dire try chinese brand chocolate. But yeah, that's what people tell me about chocolate in the US compared to europe. Lots more parrafin in US/Aussie chocolate, i'd imagine. To make it less likely to melt. and LOTS LOTS more in the chinese brands (to make it cheaper). That's what it tastes like anyway. I've had imported english candies before like the picnic bar curlywurlys and and "aero bar". They were pretty good, but i didn't notice anyt HUGE difference. But i'm no connoisseur .

No you need a block of pure English Cadburys milk chocolate to really tell the difference.
Actually yeah Chinese chocolate's pretty terrible as well.

Check out chocolate place in NYC called " 5th avenue chocolatier" on Lex and near 57th. they are the best. I am chocolateholic. I tried to stop earing them for lent but after a week I started to have symptom like irritation and constantly thinking about eating chocolate. As far as regular chocolote I love Neslie's milk chocolate (the one with red cover with white letter.) For some reason I can't find it in LA, Only place I see this paticular brand is at 99c stores.
