For people like me, it's pretty hard to fraction off the percentages. If you have Eurasian blood from say Malaysia/Singapore/Indonesia where Eurasian communities have existed for quite sometime, you may be desended from 3rd,4th,5th generation Eurasians whose preceeding parents were also Eurasian. This is the case with my Mum. As a consequence, we were always schooled that the term "Eurasian" reffered to people like us who are mixed with European and Asian. There was no mention of say 1/2 or 1/4 etc. This is not very well known with say the population today to whom the term "Eurasian" is kinda a new thing. And when people do happen to know the term, it's usually reffered to in the half X, half Y context. That's probably the best I can explain it. There's an increasing awareness of the non 50/50 Eurasian in Australia as we are so close to Asia, but I'd say most of the general public are ignorant about the term. It's usually known by people who have connection with say countries in lower SEA. If I can remember, I'll post a pic of my Nan whom I just visited. It's a pic when she was 17 and she looks kinda typical of Eurasians from her area.

My mother's Asian - father, caucasian. I feel EAs with that ^ reversed are somehow different (to me). mother = asian (chinese) dad = caucasian Yea, ea's with asian dad's tend to rep their asianness more (which is good).

Japanese father, white mother. I agree with what some people posted earlier in the thread about people of the opposite mix parents feeling different. I don't know if it's just physical features or what.
